Maass Peña, Francisco
Perfil
Francisco Maass Peña holds a law degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and has completed graduate-level studies in business administration at the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM).
He has over 20 years of experience in federal public service, having held various high-level positions, including: Undersecretary of Tourism, Chief of Staff, Consul General of Mexico in Portland, Oregon, Director General of Planning and Institutional Innovation at the then-Office of the Attorney General of the Republic, Deputy Director General at the Federal Telecommunications Institute (formerly COFETEL), and President of the National Standards Commission.
He also worked for 10 years at the Federal Competition Commission, eight of which he spent heading the General Directorate of Investigations (now the Investigative Authority).

Formación Académica
In the academic sphere, Francisco has taught graduate-level courses on competition law at ITAM and currently serves as a professor in the Master’s in Business Law program at the Universidad Panamericana.
In private practice, he has worked with various law firms and companies on matters related to competition law, administrative law, and regulation, acting as an advisor and representative at different stages of administrative and regulatory proceedings.
Since October 2022, he has been part of Ramos, Ripoll & Schuster as Of Counsel.
